This is what happens when you tell a groups of Metro students to look casual while travelling across Ireland. #student #travel #travelphotography #ireland
We tried to get as close as possible to Taylor Swift as she played in Dublin. It may have gotten chilly out there, but to hear all of my students singing 'Anti Hero' was worth it. #students #travel #education #ireland
When you take your kids to the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland be sure to ONLY speak in quotes from the Princess Bride - they need to learn the vital lessons. 'The Cliffs of Insanity'. #student #students #travel #travelphotography #education #ireland
The epic production of FRANKENSTEIN comes to an end . Thank you to everyone who came out and supported live theatre. SMITH is aware and we are grateful.
Frankenstein. In the SMITH studio. Stop motion film created by my lead actor, Connor Blicker and colleague Alicia Rout. “This story is old, I know, but it goes on…” Name that tune….
As the beautiful and weathered curtain falls on MPA, it rises on the last production-Frsnkenstein, by Mary Shelley and Nick Dear- adapted for our stage and directed by Ryan Seeley and the students of SMITH. If you’ve ever had the chance to work on a Metro Prep play , whether on stage or back stage, you know what it takes and how it feels. We would love you to join us to watch this epic tale of love and monstrosity. Ryan and the cast and crew would love to see you in our audience, one last time at Metro Prep. May 28-31 at 7:30 pm in the SMITH studio at MPA. For tickets contact rseeley@metroprep.com Mature themes. Viewer discretion advised. …as usual.

Dear friends and families of Metro Prep,
It is with heavy hearts that we must share the extremely sad news of the passing of our beloved principal and founder, William Wayne McKelvey. Wayne had been fighting a private battle with cancer and despite his courage and the grateful help from his medical team, family and friends, he passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, March 20th, 2024. Funeral details will be made available shortly. There was always something to learn from Wayne, and we suspect that this difficult time will teach us all something new about what it means to be part of the Metro Prep Family, since 1982. Vice Principals Debra McKelvey and Ryan Seeley will continue running the school and stepping in as Acting Principals, as they have been doing during Wayne’s recent illness, for the remainder of the school year. In September, Metro Prep Academy will commence the 2024-2025 academic year with a new principal that shares the vision and values of Metro Prep. Thank you to everyone for your kind words and condolences. Feel free to share your thoughts and kind wishes. Wayne cared deeply about you all until his last day. Love from us all at MPA.
William Wayne McKelvey- 1946-2024. May he rest in peace. Sincerely, Metro Prep Administration. Painting of Wayne by Sujin Ahn.
