However you write it, or spell it, or say it, this week ushers in a whole new year for China and the Far East. Today it's 'so long' to the Pig and 'hello' Year of the Rat.
Lunar New Year is a time for celebration with family and friends, filled with dancing, fireworks, parading dragons, twinkling Chinese lanterns and feasts. We wish all of our international friends a Happy Chinese New Year!

On Tuesday evening, Metro Prep students, staff and alumni held a benefit concert for Kenya 2020. 'The Royal Waltz' was full of great singers, musicians and an amazing crowd. A huge thank you goes to Ryan for organizing the entire event!
Our students from Business 10 and Marketing 11 visited FCB Agency in Toronto last week. The students learned about the advertising process as well as different careers in the field. They are excited to see what their paths hold!
The Grade 11 and 12 Physics students visited the Science Center to learn more about exploration on the Moon. They successfully launched a rocket and landed a space shuttle in space. The future looks bright for the Canadian Space Program!
