At MetroPrep, students are encouraged to explore their interests, discover new talents, and build lasting friendships through a wide variety of lunch-hour and after-school clubs.
Whether students are passionate about the arts, music, leadership, STEM, debate, recreation, or community service, there is a place for everyone. Clubs provide a welcoming and inclusive environment where students of all experience levels are encouraged to participate, develop new skills, build confidence, and become active members of the MetroPrep community.
As student interests evolve, new clubs are introduced throughout the year, ensuring there are always fresh opportunities to learn, create, lead, and have fun.

Art Club
Whether you’re an experienced artist or picking up a sketchbook for the first time, Art Club welcomes students of all grades and skill levels to explore their creativity in a fun and supportive environment.
Throughout the year, members participate in hands-on workshops introducing new techniques, artistic styles, and creative mediums while also developing their own individual projects. From drawing and painting to mixed media, students are encouraged to experiment, express themselves, and grow as artists at their own pace.
Art Club is a place to learn, create, collaborate, and be inspired alongside a community of fellow creatives.

The D Street Band
Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just discovering your love of music, The D Street Band welcomes students of all grades and experience levels.
We are looking for enthusiastic singers and musicians of all instruments to join this year’s ensemble as we rehearse, collaborate, and perform together.
Building on the success of last year’s acclaimed production of 1982, the band is now preparing for an exciting winter concert at the Aga Khan Museum. Along the way, members will develop their musical skills, gain valuable ensemble experience, and be part of unforgettable performances that showcase the creativity and talent of the MetroPrep community.

Debate Club
Develop your confidence, sharpen your critical thinking, and find your voice in MetroPrep’s Debate Club.
Open to students of all grades and experience levels, members develop skills in public speaking, research, argumentation, rebuttal, and persuasive communication.
Throughout the year, students prepare for the prestigious Hart House Debate Competition at the University of Toronto, gaining valuable experience while representing MetroPrep with confidence and professionalism.

Board Game Club
Challenge your mind, meet new friends, and discover exciting new games in MetroPrep’s Board Game Club.
Open to students of all grades, members enjoy a wide variety of board, card, and strategy games in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.
Whether you enjoy classic favourites, cooperative adventures, fast-paced games, or deep strategic challenges, there is something for everyone.
Board Game Club is a fun way to build problem-solving skills, teamwork, strategic thinking, and friendships.

Student Council
Student Council provides students with the opportunity to become leaders within the MetroPrep community.
Council members organize school events, spirit days, House challenges, and community initiatives while representing the voices and ideas of their fellow students.
Through leadership, teamwork, and service, Student Council helps shape a welcoming, inclusive, and connected school community.
Student Council elections take place each fall, giving students the opportunity to campaign for leadership positions and represent their classmates throughout the school year.

Yearbook Club
The Yearbook Club captures the memories, milestones, and achievements that define each school year.
Members collaborate on photography, page design, writing, editing, and layout to create a keepsake celebrating the MetroPrep community.
Open to students of all grades and experience levels, Yearbook Club offers valuable experience in creativity, teamwork, design, and storytelling.

Intramurals
MetroPrep’s intramural program provides students with opportunities to stay active, compete, and have fun in a friendly and supportive environment.
Recent intramural events have included soccer tournaments and table tennis competitions, bringing together students and teachers through healthy competition and school spirit.
Whether competing for victory or simply enjoying the experience, intramurals encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and community while allowing students to build friendships beyond the classroom.
