Metropolitan Preparatory Academy celebrated its Class of 2026 on June 18, 2026, with a graduation ceremony at the Aga Khan Museum. During the ceremony, students were recognized with individual honours, including this year’s Senior Valedictorian, Junior Valedictorian, Principal’s Award, and Governor General’s Academic Medal recipients.
Senior Valedictorian: Charlotte Berry
The Senior Valedictorian Award recognizes a graduating student who has demonstrated exceptional academic achievement while making meaningful contributions to school life. This year, that honour was presented to Charlotte Berry, whose dedication and commitment to excellence have made her an outstanding representative of the Metro Prep community.
Charlotte consistently demonstrated outstanding dedication to her studies, achieving academic excellence throughout her high school career. Her perseverance and strong work ethic earned the respect of both her teachers and peers.
Beyond the classroom, Charlotte made a lasting impact on school life. As co-captain of the girls’ volleyball team, she led by example with determination and sportsmanship. As an active member of Student Council, she contributed to building a positive school community while supporting school initiatives and her fellow students.
Charlotte was also honoured as Junior Valedictorian at her Grade 8 Metro Prep graduation, reflecting the consistency of her excellence and the high standards she maintained throughout her time at the school.

Governor General’s Academic Medal: Sean Lopes Fitzgerald
Sean Lopes Fitzgerald received this year’s Governor General’s Academic Medal, an honour awarded to the graduating student who achieves the highest overall academic average across their Grade 11 and Grade 12 courses.
Sean’s achievement reflects remarkable discipline and a commitment to excellence that has been evident throughout his high school years.
Known for his outstanding study habits, Sean approaches every course with focus and purpose. His success has been built through careful planning and consistent effort. Rather than relying on last-minute studying, he has demonstrated the value of preparation and perseverance, setting a strong academic example for his peers.

Principal’s Award: Sepehr Enayati
