Competitions
Challenging Students to Excel
At MetroPrep, learning extends beyond the classroom through academic competitions that encourage curiosity, perseverance, and intellectual growth.
Students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of regional, national, and international competitions that challenge them to apply their knowledge, think creatively, and perform at their highest level. Whether solving complex mathematical problems, competing in computer science challenges, presenting business ideas, debating current issues, or showcasing artistic talents, competitions inspire students to pursue excellence while developing confidence, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
More importantly, these experiences prepare students for university by encouraging independent thinking, healthy competition, and a lifelong love of learning.
Why Competitions Matter
- Challenge themselves beyond the classroom
- Apply classroom learning in meaningful ways
- Build confidence and resilience
- Strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving
- Develop teamwork and leadership
- Represent MetroPrep with pride
- Enhance university applications through academic achievement
Success is not measured only by medals or awards, but by the willingness to embrace challenge, learn from experience, and continue growing.

Celebrating Student Achievement
At MetroPrep, competitions are viewed as opportunities for growth, discovery, and personal achievement.
Whether earning national recognition, representing the school at prestigious competitions, or challenging themselves for the first time, every student is encouraged to embrace new experiences, celebrate progress, and strive for excellence.
We are proud of every student who chooses to step beyond the classroom and pursue their passions through academic competition.
