Turning Awareness Into Action
The IMPACT Program is MetroPrep’s signature program in social innovation, leadership, and community engagement, where students move beyond understanding challenges to developing meaningful solutions.
Students may join an existing student-led initiative or create one of their own, guided by dedicated mentors who help transform ideas into measurable, real-world projects. Through collaboration, creativity, and perseverance, students learn that even small actions can create lasting change.
Each student team progresses through the Impact Cycle:
Research
Design
Action
Impact
This hands-on process helps students build confidence, empathy, leadership, resilience, and problem-solving skills that prepare them for success far beyond high school.

From Vision to Visibility
Each year, students present their initiatives at the Metro Prep Impact Showcase. This event gathers families, educators, and community partners to witness the results of student projects firsthand.
The showcase functions as more than a presentation; it is a celebration of the tangible change young people can achieve. By sharing their work, students provide evidence of their leadership and motivate others to take action within their communities.
Each year, Impact students share their projects in the Metro Prep Impact Showcase, a powerful event that brings together families, educators, and community partners.

The showcase isn’t just a presentation, it’s a celebration of what happens when young people realize they can lead change.
