Last week, both our Grade 7 and U20 athletes represented Metro Prep at SSAF Frisbee tournaments.
For several of our Grade 7 students, the Elementary tournament was their first experience playing Frisbee. They stepped into the challenge with confidence, scoring multiple points against teams that would later advance to the final. Co-captains Avery and Kai helped lead the group throughout the day, while Jace, Zia, Ada, Jacob, Arissa, Felix and Ella all contributed to a strong team effort.
The U20 squad also had a strong showing, finishing second in its group with wins over Toronto Prep and Town Centre before advancing to the quarter-finals against a strong St. Jude’s team. Led by Captain Aaron Vernon, the athletes played with heart throughout the tournament. Many also compete in other Metro Prep sports, including basketball and soccer, and brought that same spirit to the Frisbee field.
With more athletic events ahead this year, we hope to see more students get involved. School sports are a great way to build confidence while staying connected to the Metro Prep community.
