Student Council Hosts the Annual Science Fair

On April 15, 2026, the MetroPrep Student Council hosted the annual Science Fair, giving Middle and Upper School students a space to share what they have been building and testing outside of class.

Rather than just displaying research on poster boards, much of the room was dedicated to active engineering challenges and working prototypes. Students presented a variety of hands-on projects, from custom-built alarm clocks to early robotics hardware. It gave participants a chance to walk their peers through their design process and answer practical questions about how their builds actually worked.

A few projects required a bit more room to operate. Jibril drew a crowd with a live drone demonstration, walking onlookers through the mechanics of his hardware. Later in the afternoon, the group moved outside so Mark could test a rocket he had designed and built entirely from scratch.

Thank you to Student Council for organizing the day and to all of our student scientists for putting their work out there. Well done, everyone!
