Metro Prep launched the 2025-2026 school year on September 5, 2025, with a trip to Treetop Trekking Stouffville, where students crossed suspended bridges, navigated aerial obstacles, and worked their way through courses designed to test balance, judgment, and nerve.

There is a specific kind of trust required when your zip line is only as good as the classmate holding the rope. Several metres off the ground, students made quick decisions, adjusted when a crossing did not go as planned, and communicated clearly with the people around them, all while managing a healthy dose of nerves.

That mix of challenge and encouragement made for a strong start to the year. Students came off the courses with sore arms, a few new friendships, and a story to tell before the first day of classes had even begun.
