Homestay Programs
There is no better way to learn or improve knowledge about Canadian culture and the English language than to live with one of Metro Prep’s homestay families. All students have their own well-designed rooms including a study area, 3 balanced meals, their own bedroom… all within minutes of the school campus.
A Unique Homestay Experience
Our Homestay Program offers an exceptional experience unlike any other high school program in Canada. Under the dedicated guidance of our Homestay Director, every student receives the support they need to succeed both academically and personally. Living with a caring host family provides students with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Canadian culture while improving their language skills in a comfortable and welcoming environment.
Each student enjoys the benefits of living with a carefully selected family, sharing meals, conversation, and daily activities. These homes are located within minutes of our school, and students have their own private, thoughtfully designed rooms. Our homestay families are dedicated to building lasting relationships, ensuring academic success, and offering a safe and nurturing home for students. Even after their time in homestay, these relationships often continue, creating lifelong cross-cultural connections.
The relationships in the house are extremely positive and the mix of cultures makes it so wonderful. I am very glad and very thankful that I live with the Georgopoulos family and have come to Canada to study at Metro Prep!
Metro Prep’s Program Includes:
- Room and board with a host family for the entire academic school year

"When I first came to my Homestay family I was really scared of what it would be like for me. Within the first 5 minutes I knew it was going to be great and that I had a new Dad and Mom! I was also excited to know that I had new siblings and before a brand new English vocabulary to assist me in my school work. It seems that I have learned just as much English at my homestay than at school. I have also learned how to be a team player and do my part around the house.
