- A new gymnasium and expanded athletic facilities
- An enhanced theatre and performing arts space
- A new cafeteria and student gathering areas
- Additional classrooms and collaborative learning spaces
- New environments for entrepreneurship, leadership and interdisciplinary projects
This is more than a physical expansion. It is an investment in what MetroPrep students will be able to discover, create and accomplish.
65,000 square feet. Four Signature Programs. One extraordinary school community.

Designed Around Our Students
With an average class size of eight, MetroPrep’s classrooms are places of conversation, collaboration and meaningful participation.
Teachers know their students well. Students have the confidence to ask questions, explore ideas and contribute. Learning is rigorous and ambitious, but it remains personal.
Our campus has been designed around this educational philosophy: give every student the attention to thrive and the opportunities to discover how far they can go.

Where Science Comes to Life
MetroPrep is home to GENIUS Biotechnology, Toronto’s first and only high school biotechnology program.
Students move beyond studying scientific discoveries to applying scientific ideas through hands-on investigation, laboratory experiences and real-world problem-solving.
GENIUS students may explore DNA, genetics, molecular biology, forensic science, human health, bioinformatics and experimental design—gaining early exposure to fields that are transforming medicine, research and technology.

Where Creativity Takes the Stage
Through SMITH Performing Arts, students develop their abilities in theatre, music, performance and creative production.
MetroPrep’s performing arts spaces support rehearsals, workshops, productions and collaborative projects. Students learn to communicate with confidence, work as an ensemble and transform creative ideas into memorable performances.
Whether students hope to pursue the arts or simply want to find their voice, SMITH gives them a place to create, take risks and be heard.

Where Ideas Become Action
Through VENTURE Entrepreneurship & Business and IMPACT Leadership, students learn to move from ideas to action.
They develop business concepts, deliver presentations, examine real-world challenges, lead initiatives and collaborate across disciplines. These experiences cultivate initiative, communication, adaptability and thoughtful leadership.
MetroPrep students do not simply prepare for the future. They begin creating it.
Space to Belong
MetroPrep’s size is one of its greatest strengths.
Students in Grades 7 through 12 are part of a connected community where they are known by their teachers, supported by mentors and encouraged by their peers.
House Families, clubs, athletics, performances, competitions and school-wide events bring students together across grades and interests. The campus feels energetic and ambitious without ever becoming anonymous.
At MetroPrep, students have space to discover who they are—and a community that recognizes who they can become.
An Outstanding Toronto Location
MetroPrep is located at 1 Duncan Mill Road in Toronto’s Don Mills community, on a spacious property surrounded by green space.
The campus offers convenient access to Highway 401, Highway 404 and the Don Valley Parkway. Nearby TTC routes connect with York Mills and Don Mills subway stations, making the school accessible to families from across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area.
Our location also connects students to the extraordinary educational, scientific, cultural and professional opportunities of Toronto—extending learning beyond the campus and into the wider world.
