The Reviews Are In: Animal Farm Triumphs at Metro Prep

The curtain has closed, and the verdict is clear: Metropolitan Preparatory Academy’s production of Animal Farm was an outstanding success.

Students brought tremendous energy, intelligence, and commitment to every aspect of George Orwell’s classic allegory, creating a theatrical experience that was both entertaining and thought-provoking.

And the audience noticed.

“Spectacular!”

“A wonderful production… the set was incredible!”

“Amazing, funny, creepy… it had it all”

“I never enjoyed plays until I saw the plays at Metro Prep… so cool.”

“What school does plays like this? I’ll wait.”

“We will cherish the memories of seeing this story come to life…”

From months of rehearsals to intricate set construction, costume design, lighting, sound, and everything in between, this production was a true community effort. Director Ryan Seeley put it simply:

“What made this show special was the dedication of our students. From the actors who brought these memorable characters to life, to the students working behind the scenes on lighting, sound, props, costumes, and set construction, every member of the company contributed something meaningful. It was truly a team effort.”
Ryan Seeley, Principal & Director of SMITH

That team effort showed on stage. Audience members praised the quality of the performances, the ambitious design work, and the professionalism displayed by our students throughout the run. The production showcased not only artistic talent but also the collaboration, creativity, and perseverance that are hallmarks of the Metro Prep SMITH Program.

Animal Farm joins a proud tradition of exceptional work at Metro Prep, and the cast and crew should be incredibly proud of what they accomplished. To every member of the cast and crew: take a bow. You’ve earned it.

Bravo, Metro Prep!
