Behind the Scenes: Inside SMITH’s Animal Farm Set Build

Walk into Metro Prep’s black box theatre a few weeks ago, and you would have found bare dark walls, a handful of chairs, and a whole lot of potential. Walk in today, and you’re stepping into Manor Farm.

Our SMITH program has been hard at work building the set for our upcoming production of Animal Farm, George Orwell’s timeless allegorical story of power, revolution, and what happens when the animals take charge. And if these photos are any indication, this show is going to be something special!

Animal Farm joins a celebrated list of Metro Prep SMITH productions that includes The CrucibleLord of the FliesWaiting for Godot, and Of Mice and Men.

Performances run Tuesday, June 2 through Friday, June 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the SMITH Studio at Metropolitan Preparatory Academy. Contact Joanna Johnson at jjohnson@metroprep.com to reserve your tickets.
