Big Purpose Statement

At MetroPrep, education doesn’t end with knowledge — it begins with action.
The Impact Program empowers students to explore real-world issues, discover their voice, and lead meaningful change. By combining creativity, collaboration, and social responsibility, Impact transforms classroom learning into action that makes a difference.
What the Impact Program Is

Turning Awareness Into Action

The Impact Program is MetroPrep’s signature initiative in social innovation and leadership — where students move from understanding issues to driving solutions.

Students may join an existing Impact Cause or create a new one of their own, guided by dedicated mentors who help them develop meaningful, measurable projects.

Each student team progresses through the Impact Cycle:

What Students Gain

Skills That Shape Tomorrow’s Leaders

The Impact Program develops real-world skills that last a lifetime. Students learn to lead with empathy, think creatively, and act with purpose, preparing them for success in university, career, and beyond.

Key Learning Outcomes:
The Impact Showcase

From Vision to Visibility

Each year, Impact students share their projects in the MetroPrep Impact Showcase, a powerful event that brings together families, educators, and community partners.
Students present their initiatives, celebrate their results, and inspire others to take action.

The showcase isn’t just a presentation, it’s a celebration of what happens when young people realize they can lead change.
