Science & Biotechnology
The GENIUS Program gives students regular access to real biotechnology laboratory work as part of their secondary education.
Students work hands-on with modern lab techniques such as DNA analysis and molecular biology, building skill and confidence through repeated experience in a professional lab environment.
GENIUS is Toronto’s only high school program dedicated to biotechnology, offering exposure to laboratory science that students typically encounter much later at the university level.
This experience strengthens scientific literacy, analytical thinking, and comfort with complex material, providing a clear advantage for further study in science, medicine, health sciences, and research-related fields, while maintaining the academic breadth expected of a strong IB education.
Business, Trade & Global Systems
VENTURE Program
The VENTURE Program introduces students to how business operates in the real world.
Students develop and analyze business ideas, build structured plans, study trade and global systems, and examine how decisions are made in commercial and international contexts.

The SMITH Program integrates music, theatre, and the humanities into the academic life of the school.
