Turning Awareness Into Action
The Impact Program is MetroPrep’s signature initiative in social innovation and leadership — where students move from understanding issues to driving solutions.
Students may join an existing Impact Cause or create a new one of their own, guided by dedicated mentors who help them develop meaningful, measurable projects.
Each student team progresses through the Impact Cycle:
Research
Design
Action
Impact
This hands-on process helps students build confidence, empathy, and leadership, skills that prepare students for success far beyond high school.

From Vision to Visibility
Each year, Impact students share their projects in the MetroPrep Impact Showcase, a powerful event that brings together families, educators, and community partners.
Students present their initiatives, celebrate their results, and inspire others to take action.
The showcase isn’t just a presentation, it’s a celebration of what happens when young people realize they can lead change.
