Wilfrid Laurier University Comes to MetroPrep

MetroPrep students will have the opportunity to connect directly with Wilfrid Laurier University when a university representative visits the school on Thursday, September 24.

The presentation will give students a chance to learn more about Laurier’s undergraduate programs, admission requirements and student experience, while asking questions directly of a university representative as they explore their post-secondary options.

Laurier offers more than 100 undergraduate programs across eight faculties, with campuses in Waterloo, Brantford and Milton. Students can pursue studies across a wide range of disciplines while taking advantage of opportunities to connect their academic learning with practical experience through co-op, research, field placements, community projects and other forms of experiential learning.

For students considering Laurier, the presentation is an opportunity to explore not only what they can study, but what their university experience could look like.

Laurier offers co-op in more than 40 undergraduate programs, providing eligible students with opportunities to alternate academic study with paid, full-time work experience. Students can also explore hands-on learning through research projects, field placements, international experiences, community initiatives and other opportunities beyond the classroom.

Students are encouraged to come prepared with questions about programs, admission requirements, co-op opportunities, campus choices, student life and the application process.

The presentation is part of MetroPrep’s ongoing university guidance program, giving students direct opportunities to connect with post-secondary institutions, compare different pathways and make informed decisions about their future.
