Toronto Metropolitan University Comes to MetroPrep

MetroPrep students will have the opportunity to explore Toronto Metropolitan University when a university representative visits the school on Monday, September 21.

The presentation will give students a chance to learn more about TMU’s undergraduate programs, admission requirements and student experience, while asking questions directly of a university representative as they consider their post-secondary options.

Located in the heart of downtown Toronto, TMU offers more than 60 undergraduate programs across fields including business, engineering and architectural science, science, the arts, community services, media, design and the creative industries. The university places a strong emphasis on connecting academic study with practical experience, with experiential learning opportunities incorporated across its full-time undergraduate programs.

For students considering TMU, the presentation is an opportunity to look beyond program names and explore what studying there could actually involve.

Students can learn about programs that match their interests, understand admission requirements and prerequisites, and ask about opportunities such as co-op, internships and other forms of experiential learning. They can also learn more about studying at an urban university in downtown Toronto and what to expect from campus and student life.

Students are encouraged to come prepared with questions about the programs and pathways they are considering.

The presentation is part of MetroPrep’s ongoing university guidance program, giving students direct opportunities to connect with post-secondary institutions, explore different possibilities and make informed decisions about their future.
