Notable Grads

John Brunswick (2003) is a leading shoe designer working for Gina Shoes in London, England. John had received many credentials from the London College of Fashion and completed a Master in Arts for Fashion Footwear from Cordwainers College. "Metro Prep allowed me to envision my future path and make it happen."


Kate Ruby-Sachs (2003) is a Senior Addictions Counsellor at GreenStone Toronto. She graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts and then completed her Master in Science in Social Work at Columbia University. Kate says working with her clients every day turns into real changes in their lives. "It's incredibly rewarding. It's why I do the work that I do."


Eden Grinshpan (2004), a famous foodie and current host on the Cooking Channel, graduated from Le Cordon Bleu London with a grand diplome in both pastry and cuisine. Eden currently creates, produces and hosts 'Eden Eats' where she takes viewers on a food adventure around the world. She also has a second show 'Log on & Eat with Eden Grinshpan' where she meets food bloggers, tweeters and YouTube sensations to find out their favourite dining spots. According to Eden, Metro Prep "was the place where I really started to build my self confidence that helped kickstart my career."


Roxy Kirshenbaum (2005) is a writer and photojournalist who is currently working as an editor at Surface Magazine in New York City. After graduating from McGill University, Roxy pursued Advertising, Marketing and Communications at the Fashion Institute of Technology and then continued to complete a Master of Science in Journalism at Columbia University. "I can say with confidence and a bit of nostalgia that I could not have arrived where I stand today without Metro Prep’s scholastic approach."


Brad Silverberg (2008) is founder of Highrise Picture Co. and also works as a freelance cinematographer. Some of Brad’s greatest accomplishments are filming David Cronenberg at the Tiff Bell Lighbox, editing Slice Network’s Rich Bride, Poor Bride and working as a cinematographer for the television pilot Scared Stiff. Brad says "Metro guided me to the understanding that my practical strengths were in the arts, and that there are many ways to channel that into a career and goals for the future."


Brian Vadasz (2008) is a research technician at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto. With his degree in Medical Sciences and his masters in Laboratory Medicine & Pathobiology, Brian works to better understand heart attacks, strokes and blood disorders in order to contribute to the development of therapies, clinical management and prevention. "The teachers at Metro Prep … inspired and motivated me to pursue a path in science."
