MetroPrep is pleased to offer optional door-to-door transportation for students travelling to and/or from school.

For the 2026-2027 school year, the transportation fee is:

Morning Pickup OR Afternoon Drop-Off: $3,749 ($1,874.50 per semester)

7. Service Terms

Service Information and Parent Responsibilities

Service Period

Transportation is provided during the 2026-2027 MetroPrep school year on regular school days for which the applicable transportation service is scheduled. Transportation is not provided on weekends, school holidays or school closure days unless MetroPrep expressly advises otherwise. Transportation schedules may be modified on early-dismissal, altered-schedule, examination, extracurricular-event or other non-regular school days. MetroPrep will advise families of applicable transportation arrangements when reasonably practicable.

For each accepted enrolment, transportation begins on the first scheduled transportation day confirmed by MetroPrep and continues through the last applicable regular school day of the 2026-2027 school year, unless earlier modified, suspended or discontinued under this agreement.

Pickup and drop-off schedules will be confirmed after enrolment and routing have been finalized.

Readiness and Boarding

Students must be ready and available at the designated pickup or departure location at the scheduled time. The driver is not required to delay the transportation schedule for a student who is not ready or available. If the student is not ready or available when the vehicle is scheduled to depart, the vehicle may depart without the student.

Schedule and Route Changes

Pickup and drop-off times are estimates and may change because of student locations, routing, traffic, weather, road closures, construction, vehicle or driver availability, or other circumstances. MetroPrep or the transportation provider will communicate material scheduling changes when reasonably practicable.

Transportation is a shared service. Vehicles may transport more than one MetroPrep student and may make multiple pickups and drop-offs. Routes, vehicle assignments, and pickup and drop-off order may change during the school year. MetroPrep does not guarantee a particular route, pickup or drop-off sequence, travel time, driver or vehicle.

Address Changes

Parents/guardians must notify MetroPrep in advance of any requested change to a pickup or drop-off address, route or schedule. A requested change is not effective until MetroPrep confirms it. Changes may affect routing, availability or pricing and cannot always be accommodated. If an approved change would increase the transportation fee, MetroPrep will advise the parent/guardian of the revised fee and obtain their agreement before the change takes effect.

Pickup and Drop-Off Locations

Pickup and drop-off will normally occur at the designated address. Where the vehicle cannot safely or reasonably stop at that location, the driver may use a suitable nearby pickup or drop-off point.

Special pickup or drop-off arrangements are subject to MetroPrep's prior confirmation.

Drop-Off Release

The student may exit the vehicle independently upon arrival at the designated drop-off location. The transportation provider is not required to wait for, identify, or obtain confirmation from an adult before releasing the student, unless Metro Prep has expressly confirmed an alternative drop-off arrangement with the parent or guardian in writing. Any request for a special drop-off or release arrangement must be approved in writing by Metro Prep in advance.

Absences

Parents/guardians should notify MetroPrep or the transportation provider's designated dispatch contact as soon as reasonably possible when the student will not require a scheduled pickup or drop-off.

Student Conduct

Students must behave safely and appropriately during transportation, follow reasonable instructions from the driver, wear the available seat belt as required, and avoid conduct that may distract the driver or interfere with the safe operation of the vehicle.

Unsafe Behaviour

MetroPrep may suspend or terminate a student's transportation privileges where reasonably necessary because of safety concerns, serious or repeated misconduct, or failure to follow transportation requirements. Where appropriate, MetroPrep will contact the parent/guardian before further transportation occurs.

Transportation Provider, Service Changes and Cancellation

Transportation Provider

MetroPrep is arranging this transportation service through an independent third-party transportation provider. MetroPrep currently intends to use A-1 GTA CAB INC. (“GTA Cab”). MetroPrep may replace, add or change transportation providers, vehicles, drivers, routes or transportation arrangements when reasonably necessary to operate the service safely, reliably or efficiently.

The individual driver and vehicle may change during the school year.

Changes, Suspension or Discontinuation of Service

MetroPrep may, in its discretion, modify, suspend or discontinue the transportation service, any route, or an individual student's transportation arrangement at any time. This may include changes because of safety concerns, operational requirements, insufficient participation, route feasibility, transportation-provider availability, changes in cost, weather or emergency conditions, legal or insurance requirements, or other circumstances affecting the operation of the transportation service. Transportation is an optional service and MetroPrep does not guarantee that any particular transportation service, route or arrangement will remain available for the entire school year.

If MetroPrep permanently discontinues all or part of a student's paid transportation service, MetroPrep will refund the unused portion of the transportation fee attributable to the discontinued service on a pro-rated basis, calculated according to the scheduled transportation service days remaining after the effective date of discontinuation. If only one direction of a Morning Pickup + Afternoon Drop-Off service is permanently discontinued, the amount attributable to the discontinued direction will be the difference between the combined-service annual fee and the applicable single-direction annual fee, pro-rated according to the scheduled transportation service days remaining. If MetroPrep discontinues the entire accepted service before transportation begins, any transportation fee paid will be refunded in full.

Temporary interruptions, delays, route changes or missed service caused by weather, traffic, road closures, emergencies, mechanical problems, driver or vehicle availability, government direction, or other circumstances beyond MetroPrep's reasonable control do not constitute permanent discontinuation of the service and do not automatically entitle the parent/guardian to a refund or credit.

Parent-Requested Cancellation or Withdrawal

The annual transportation fee reserves transportation capacity for the student for the school year and is not calculated according to the number of rides actually taken.

If a parent/guardian cancels or withdraws the student from the transportation service after service has commenced, the transportation fee is non-refundable, subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

If a parent/guardian requests cancellation before transportation service has commenced, any refund or adjustment is subject to MetroPrep's approval, except where a cancellation or refund right applies by law.

Student absences, vacations, illness, missed rides, lateness, or a decision not to use transportation that remains available do not entitle the parent/guardian to a refund or credit.

Suspension or Termination for Student Conduct

If MetroPrep suspends or terminates a student's transportation privileges because of serious or repeated misconduct, unsafe behaviour, or failure to comply with transportation requirements, any refund or adjustment will be determined by MetroPrep having regard to the circumstances and applicable law.

Risk, Safety and Responsibility

Transportation Risks

Transportation by motor vehicle involves ordinary risks associated with road travel, including traffic, weather, road conditions, delays, sudden stops, collisions and the actions of other road users.

MetroPrep arranges and administers the transportation service but does not operate the transportation vehicles. The transportation provider and drivers are responsible for providing the transportation services in accordance with applicable legal and safety requirements.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MetroPrep is not responsible for delays, missed pickups or drop-offs, route changes or interruptions resulting from traffic, weather, road closures, emergencies, mechanical problems or other circumstances beyond MetroPrep's reasonable control.

Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits any responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Emergency Authorization

Emergency Situations

By signing and submitting this agreement, I authorize MetroPrep and the transportation provider, if an emergency occurs during transportation, to take reasonable steps in response to the emergency, including contacting me or the emergency contact, calling 911 and obtaining emergency medical or other assistance when reasonably necessary, until the parent/guardian or appropriate emergency personnel can assume responsibility.

I also authorize MetroPrep and the transportation provider to disclose information reasonably necessary to emergency responders or other persons assisting with the emergency.

Information Sharing and Privacy

Transportation Information

By signing and submitting this agreement, I authorize MetroPrep to provide its transportation provider, drivers and other persons reasonably involved in arranging or providing the transportation service with information reasonably necessary to transport my child safely and effectively.

This may include my child's name, pickup and drop-off addresses, transportation schedule, student mobile telephone number where provided, transportation contact telephone numbers, emergency contact information, relevant transportation instructions, and relevant safety or accessibility information.

This information may be collected, used and disclosed as reasonably necessary for transportation administration and delivery, safety, emergency response and related school administration, subject to applicable privacy requirements. Parents/guardians should provide only information reasonably necessary for these purposes.

Payment Terms

Transportation enrolment is not confirmed until MetroPrep has confirmed that the requested transportation arrangement can reasonably be accommodated and received the required payment or confirmed acceptable payment arrangements.

Submission of this form and/or payment does not itself guarantee transportation availability from the requested address.

If MetroPrep is unable to accept the transportation enrolment, any transportation payment received for that enrolment will be returned.

9. Parent/Guardian Agreement & Signature

I have had an opportunity to review and correct the information entered in this form, including the transportation service selected, pickup and drop-off information, and total annual fee. I have read and agree to the terms of this Student Transportation Enrolment & Consent Form, including the service conditions, transportation-provider arrangements, service changes and cancellation terms, transportation risks, emergency authorization, information-sharing provisions, and fees and payment terms.
